Lady Gaga is once again facing major criticism for her music as she is being accused of plagiarism over her recently released song Judas.
The controversy arised after fans of fellow electro pop artist Loli Lux claimed that Gaga´s new single, Judas, duplicates her song WannaBE which was written and produced by Loli Lux and Rob Uncles in 2009 and released & remixed later in 2010.
Another well known producer, Dr Luke, who has collaborated with artists such as Britney Spears or Kesha mentioned the similarities by tweeting this message:
"Damn, Did @Ladygaga swipe this song? Pretty damn similar to Judas"
This isn´t the first time Lady Gaga faces similar claims as just recently, many stated that her first single, Born This Way, borrowed elements from Madonna´s 90´s hit Express Yourself.
Unlike Madonna, singer Loli Lux hasn´t kept quiet and openly adressed the comparisons by saying:
“It’s sad when my work ripped off like that but I have more new and really great unreleased material that I will keep safely guarded for now.”
Lux stated through a press release that she already knew Gaga from back in the day when they both started on the same New York music scene.
“I have always crossed paths with Gaga through having mutual friends, it’s not the first time she has borrowed ideas from me. It was previously my DJ trademark to wear military hats but I had to stop that after Gaga started doing the same.”
According to Lux she contacted producer Red One through a mutual acquaintance and forwarded her WannaBE music video. Instead of continuing with the initial interest, Lux woke up one morning to find out that the Red One produced track Judas was suspiciously familiar to her.
She tweeted the following messages to express her anger after the song surfaced:
"I wonder what´s next? Stealing my worn panties?"
"Oh the irony of the song being called "WannaBE" hahah"
There is no word yet from Gaga or her team since these accusations first surfaced.
