Miss Trinidad & Tobago World 2011
Lee Ann Forbes has been crowned the 2011 Miss Trinidad and Tobago World and will represent T&T at the 61st edition of the Miss World pageant, to be held 8th November, 2011 in London, England.
The 21 year old St James beauty bested her seven stunning counterparts to wear the crown at the 61st Miss World competition. She was crowned by Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Anil Roberts, at the Cascadia Hotel tonight.
In addition to winning the crown and the opportunity to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the International Miss World Pageant, Miss Forbes walked away with a $10,000 necklace courtesy of The Gallery; one year’s supply of makeup from Revlon Cosmetics; a $25,000 wardrobe from Peter Elias, Philipa, Carnaby Street and Micles; and a $10,000 cash prize courtesy of the Tourism Development Company, which will go towards her development.She also won the Best Physique Award.
The First Runner Up at the contest was Miss D’Abadie, Vinita Maharaj. Second Runner Up was Miss Santa Flora, Nisa Mohammed, and the Third Runner Up was Miss St Joseph, Ana Rosa Banfield.
Two contestants received special awards at tonight’s show: The Top Model Award, which includes a contract with New York-based Boss Models, went to 18 year old Nariba Edwards, Miss Oropouche.
Miss Santa Flora, 21 year old Nisa Mohammed, received the prize for Miss Elegance.
