It was about time! Seems like Glee co-creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are finally realizing that the show needs some help on the writing department and they have recruited a brand new writing staff for Season 3.
Among the new recruits for the Fox musical series are Allison Adler (Chuck, No Ordinary Family) as co-executive producer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Spiderman: Turn off the Dark), with Michael Hitchcock and Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Fright Night) serving as consulting producers.
Noxon recently took her Twitter to acknowledge her involvement with the show and added some inside jokes by addressing her previous involvement on the Buffy musical:
"Hi to all the Gleeks. I'm only consulting but get ready for the darkest, most depressing season ever. Can Rachel die and come back weird?"
"My storyline ideas for Glee: the school has a new female character who keeps getting PARKING TICKETS. Get it, huh? Huh?"
This marks the first time Glee has a proper writing staff as, up until now, only Murphy, Falchuk and Brennan shared those duties.
We are confident that the show can only improve with this boost of talent, specially with Marti Noxon on board. Glee´s lack of continuity and overarching storylines was starting to become pretty obvious on recent episodes.
What do you think? Is this a good move for the show?
