Katrina Kaif signed up for Dhoom: 3; Aamir Khan to take profit share?

The news of Aamir Khan being roped in to play the villain in Dhoom 3 was a rage last week. However, the big question since then has been, who will be signed as the lead actress opposite him. Though a number of names were being tossed around by the media, Bollywood Hungama has learnt from its sources that Katrina Kaif will be playing the female lead in Dhoom: 3.

Katrina, who is currently doing YRF's Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, has beaten the other contenders to clinch the role.

Though the rest of the cast, namely Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra remains unchanged, Aamir and Katrina's addition to the cast certainly heats things up. Considering the chemistry between Aamir and Katrina, the duo has put all questions to rest, with their photographic rendition of the classic film Pyaasa that garnered positive response from fans and industry folk alike.

Bollywood Hungama has also learnt from its sources that Aamir won't be charging his usual fee for D: 3. Instead, he will have a stake in the profits of the film. To be precise Aamir will have a total of 33% stake in the profits of the film. This will be the first time that YRF has permitted such sharing. However, though this may be a first for the production house, Aamir has cut down his share from the usual 40% that he had for the film 3 Idiots.

When we contacted, Rafiq Gangjee from YRF replied, "The casting for the girls of Dhoom: 3 has not started. Also, YRF does not discuss artist contracts and agreements."

While Aamir's publicist said, "The 33% profit sharing ratio is not true, besides we do not have any profit sharing ratio with YRF as such. While on the remuneration i will not comment."

While Yash Raj Films refrains to comment on this, we can safely bet that with Katrina being signed on for Dhoom: 3, and Aamir adding another shade to the film with his talent, the high octane torque film promises to be more than just fast bikes.

Hrithik, Kat are 'Most Desirable'

And the winners (in correct order of ranking) are: the hotly desirable Hrithik Roshan – with his Greek God looks – who sits at the top spot for men; and Katrina Kaif's sway to Sheila that catapulted her to No 1 on the women's list, for a second consecutive year, which has never happened in the past. No surprises really, or were there? 



The Men's list has the superb-looking superstar and braveheart of Bollywood, Salman Khan, at No 2 – a stunning climb-up post Dabbang; he's followed by Ranbir Kapoor (last year's winner) at No 3. Shahid Kapoor makes it to No 4 for his sheer boyish appeal and his bare act in Kaminey, while hunky John (the 2008 winner) comes in at 5. Beating out Shah Rukh (6), Akshay Kumar (7), Arjun Rampal (8), Imran Khan (9) and Saif Ali Khan in the Top 10 slots. 


For the Women, the eternally lovely Aishwarya Rai Bachchan beats off hot competition to make it to No 2. Priyanka Chopra is at 3 while Deepika and Kareena follow at 4 and 5 respectively. At 6 is the vivacious and hotly desired Genelia D'Souza, followed by the well-styled Sonam Kapoor (7), Bipasha (8), Kangna (9) and the newly crowned Miss Earth Nicole Faria closing out the Top 10 women. 


Not too many surprises in the Top 10s, but the 50 sees some surprise entries. While beauty and power polls could remain unchanged for years, the 'Desired' and the Desirability Quotient (DQ) changes radically. Something like Yana Gupta's 'No Panty' act. Or Ranveer Singh winning hearts with Band Baja Baraat; Sonakshi's sizzle in Dabangg; Malaika's Munni ... holding more sway than even bigger stars who may not have done much in the past year to add to their DQ. Which is why ... await some surprises..

'Abhi kiski saath hai tu?’ Salman asks Katrina

Salman Khan knows better how to crack joke and insult his mates. If anyone ever takes panga with Salman then he or she is finished because it never missed any opportunity to insult them. After Katrina Kaif cut ties with Sallu miya, she is on his gun point. First on Bigg Boss, he made her cry and now during the Screen awards, he gets naughty with her. Salman asks Katrina after her performance, 'Abhi kiski saath hai tu?’ 


Said a source present at the awards, "Salman was sitting outside his van when Katrina had finished her performance and crossed him to reach her vanity van parked next to his.


Salman called out to her warmly and asked her to join him. When she came, Salman got up, hugged her and even kissed her on the cheek in full view of everyone. It was obvious by the act that Sallu and Kat were very relaxed towards each other."


But the fun started when Katrina got up to return to her van. "After catching up on each other's lives for a few minutes, Kat decided she had to change out of her costume.


As she started walking away, Salman in his usual mischievous style suddenly called out to Katrina, 'abhi kiski saath hai tu?'


A stunned Katrina turned around to rebuke Salman when he quickly gestured towards her bodyguard, implying that he had addressed the question to him and not to her.

"Salman asked the bodyguard again 'ab kiske saath hai toon?' with a huge grin on his face thus averting what could have been a big public showdown!"
