Smoke from controlled burning at Portland in Victoria has spread across south-eastern South Australia to Adelaide, prompting numerous calls from members of the public to fire services.
A 230-hectare burn off is underway and authorities are patrolling yesterday's 700-hectare prescribed burn.
The South Australian Country Fire Service says firefighters have investigated a number of reports of smoke this morning and confirmed easterly winds have pushed the smoke into South Australia.
The CFS says while it is aware of the smoke, people should call triple-0 immediately if they see a fire burning unattended. Source
