WUHAN - An explosion that occurred near a bank in central China's Wuhan City Thursday afternoon has left two pedestrians dead and more than 10 injured, according to local police.The explosion occurred at about 5:30 pm on the sidewalk outside of a China Construction Bank branch in Hongshan District of Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, police said.An initial investigation showed that the blast was triggered by an unidentified object outside of an adjacent drugstore, according to the police.
The injured have been sent to nearby hospitals for treatment, although their conditions are not yet known.
A further investigation into the explosion is under way.
